The exterior and surroundings are expansive and impressive. They are reminiscent of other palaces such as Versailles. The grounds and building are beautiful and a worthwhile stop if in the area. Full review by JDSoui

A beautiful palace set in beautiful gardens. Would recommend taking the audio guide as it tells you a lot of the history of the palace. Full review by Tony C

If I only want to visit the gardens of the palace and not go inside, do I need to buy the ticket ?

No as previous comments the gardens are public and therefore free access and worth a visit ... we visited last September when flowers were very pretty and again in May this year not so …
