Yes! Place is huge! Can cover the place in one full day if you start when they open and can read fast. We only had one day and already planning our return trip to finish!

Yes. There are a number of separate buildings, and they are air-conditioned and were quite comfortable in early July 2020. You have short walks outside from one building to the next. Once I let the family go ahead and rested at a picnic table under a tree with great shade.
I'm not sure there is public transportation that reaches the museum as it quite a ways away from a larger city or town. The best bet is to drive here, there is ample parking on the grounds.
