As one person noted, they are protecting the glass from being scratched and everyone has to wear protective booties over their shoes so the glass isn't scratched by anyone's soles. Worst case, you could put one of the shoe booties over the bottom of the cane.

I don’t see this package on their website. I can tell you that the whole experience is very commercialized. They take your phone and cameras away so you are forced to buy photos from them. From the moment you’re on the reservation, they try to charge for every little thing. Just be prepared for that.
