There are audio guides available for rent, and I haven't used them. Others have with good results. I am German-English bilingual, but noticed that many of the docents in museum are also English speakers. My suggestion: first see the Schatzkammer collection of statuary and crystal-glassware and such. DON'T MISS: Cellini SALT CELLAR!

I entered the museum in general just last week and was told that the Bruegal Exhibition was included in admission - just that one needed a timed ticket, available free of charge at the door to the exhibit. I went upstairs and at 12:15 received a timed ticket for 12:30! So - no need for a special ticket or pre-booking. I do suggest though not going on a weekend - the place was crowded mid-week so I guess it would be more difficult on a weekend. Also plan to go early - depending how much time you spend seeing Bruegal (and one can spend all day), the rest of the museum too is world class and worth seeing! BESTEST David
