It’s really remarkable that large wooded areas like this exist in the middle of Singapore’s concrete jungle. We walked anti-clockwise from the visitor centre, across the zigzag bridge and then along … Full review by SB01

Walked on the boardwalk through the Forrest at MacRitchie Reservoir With a friend two years ago. We felt like we were walking through string or like strings were passing us is the best way to describe it... Is this place dangerous?!? I don’t believe in spirits so there must be some explanation?!? Hope I’ve not been possessed lol....

Hi. You probably had walked through a few lines of web spun by a spider. The MacRitchie Reservoir boardwalk is generally safe but you need to look where you walk. Like watching out for monitor lizards and snakes although these critters will generally move away when you approach them. Monkeys can be a nuisance and visitors are well advised not to feed them, as they will grab your food or bags containing food.

Info below is provided by National Parks. Dogs are allowed in parks but must be put on leash and muzzle. However, dogs are not allowed along the MacRitchie trails (amongst others as mentioned) as their scents affect the biodiversity in those specified areas. Be a responsible pet owner. In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, kindly put your furry friends on leash and muzzle them if necessary. Most importantly, please take ownership and clean up after your pet. While dogs are permitted in most of our parks and park connectors, they are not permitted in the following areas due to the presence of the rich biodiversity there: Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Central Catchment Nature Reserve Chestnut Nature Park Hindhede Nature Park Kranji Marshes Labrador Nature Reserve Singapore Botanic Gardens Ethnobotany Garden Foliage Garden Healing Garden Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden Mingxin Foundation Rambler’s Ridge National Orchid Garden Rain Forest SPH Walk of Giants Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve Kranji Coastal Nature Park (former Sungei Buloh Wetlands Extension) Thomson Nature Park Upper Seletar Reservoir Park Upper Peirce Reservoir Park Windsor Nature Park all trails leading into the nature reserves, including: Bukit Timah mountain biking trail Chestnut-Gangsa biking trail Dairy Farm Nature Park’s nature trails (Wallace trails) Lower Peirce trail MacRitchie trails Pipeline at Bukit Timah Upper Peirce Reservoir Park access road

I didn't see anywhere... Can you back up a bit? Will you be checking out of a hotel / hostel prior to MacRitchie? That would be the safest, easiest place, I'd think. Or getting off a cruise ship? Surely after paying for your cruise, the company could hold your stuff for the day.
Hi, I would be visiting Singapore in August 2018 with my parents. My mother has knee problem for which she cannot walk too long. Is this park good for people like my mom, who can sit and enjoy the tranquility of the park?

Not really - whilst flat - its not the easiest place to get to from hotel areas of Singapore. Would recommend the botanical gardens and orchid gardens within.
