Hi, I have a question from ones who went to the glacier with a tour. I have a a little problem in my leg, I can walk walk easily even in the snow , also in ice, did many hiking in North Norway. But slippery icy and steep is hard and dangerous for me. In slippery situation try to avoid steep, and find almost flat route. Do you think I can pick a tour and go to Vantajokull? Thanks.

Hi! We went for a 2 hour tour of the ice cave suitable for beginners. it was slippery but not too long to walk to the caves. We went in March and the winds were extremely strong. This makes it even more slippery. They gave us Crampons and maybe with an ice stick you can hold yourself up, but I would recommend to call the tour companies directly and explain your problem. They seemed very professional and will be honest with you. Maybe offer extra help. If it is a dream of you to be on top of a glacier, I would recommend the experience.
