Please check the information for DETOURS of Arizona for their trips. We took the day trip from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon with a stop in Sedona. No hiking required. At the Canyon, the stop in in front of the main hotel and the canyon is yards away---easy access. There are paved paths and benches. Our driver was marvelous giving us lots of information on the topography of AZ, the plants and animal life, history and climate. Very enjoyable trip and we in our 60's.
1 day tours in the Grand Canyon for the month of August 2016,where does the tour leave from and deal for a hotel in the canyon

Any good hotel in Phoenix or Scottsdale or Tempe will have a pick up service.A number of tour companies operate from these places .These are 14 hr bus trips running en route Sedona, and Flagstaff .This 12-14 hr trip usually from 6.30-7.00 Am to 8.00Pm is good and all inclusive in the sense that if you are interested in just seeing the grandcanyon WITHOUT hiking then 2-3 hrs are enough to see the canyon. You can also take a short helicopter tour over the canyon (included in a number of tours). We took the tour from Arizona tour deals and were very satisfied. The other alternative is visiting the south rim of the canyon from Las Vegas which I believe slightly farther away than Phoenix. I hope this answers your query
