Our group of 12 ranged in age from 5 to mid-60s. We walked the 10km Bokmakierie Day Trail. Sadly, the reserve is run down and neglected. You have to question what the entrance fees are being used … Full review by Debbe G

Sorry for the late response only saw your question now ... I have been to suikerbos MANY times and have had no incidents and I have seen many hikers in their own . I would suggest going in a crowd and it’s alwaus good to be aware . My mom and I have done the 4.5 km hike on our own many times with no one bugging us. Go on Saturday or Sunday when there are more people . It is very beautiful there . Enjoy
