Very interesting and visually stunning. Make sure if you are driving yourself to let your tyres down and be aware of protected areas. Full review by Suzanne H

The sand dunes were very impressive and a must see but the access road in was poor and this was a land mark that has far more potential with appropriate management. Full review by Oldjack

This is a lovely trip. The beach drive was well supervised and eco-friendly. There are many but reasonable rules. The beach itself was breathtaking. Full review by Lankylee

All vehicles driving in WCL must be registered and display a valid beach vehicle permit which can be purchased in Port Stephens from BP Service Station at Anna Bay; BP at Salt Ash; Metro at Williamtown; Port Stephens Visitor Centre in Nelson Bay and National Parks & Wildlife office in Nelson Bay. Tours are available as is recreational 4WD. Also Horseback rides. I have not camped on the beach, recommend visiting Worimi National Park NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services website for more detailed information. This is a beautiful spot and well worth the trip. Hope this helps
