Great place to take the family or as a couple. For a small place it’s packed with history and fun things to look for. The staff was fun to talk to and the gift shop has a lot of great things to buy. … Full review by BarbaraHayden

Q:
Hello, can you accommodate someone on an electric mobility device, or do you have wheelchairs available?
A:
I did not see any wheelchairs available. It might be a little tight for an electric mobility device. I would call them and ask how they feel about it.

A:
Yes, they have both the “self guided tour”, that is easily navigable to everyone visiting this museum and they have tours, free of charge, from two to several times a day. The times of the tours vary every single day by day, date and season! Naturally in slower months, tours are not run as often. I encourage you to take the tour though for it is extremely interesting and full of such great information, some of it little ( if ever!) known! These tours are given by very knowledgeable staff dressed in period costume. During the busy, high season, tours are naturally given more often and I encourage you to go into their site and check out times of “tours for particular day you are interested in visiting them!”You can Goggle them or check out information on this site! There is telephone number listed on both sites so you can easily call directly to get “up to date information on what times tours will be offered on that particular day you will be visiting & can inquire on anything else that may be offered! Their staff is extremely knowledgeable too, so the tour is sure to bring you information, not readibly available or known by most people! It was a great tour! On another visit my husband and I alone ( one visit we had grandchildren with family) took the self guided tour which “also was extremely informative, fast and readily available!” Both are well worth a trip to this museum alone so depending on when you arrive and amount of time you have at your disposal, “BOTH” are excellent options! Enjoy your visit ( we all sure loved this museum!)!
