it takes up one side of the museum, with fossils and skeletons as well as other hands on stuff to do. It is worth seeing the rest of the museum while you are there too.

Hi Annette. The adult admission is £7.95. However if you live within a reasonable distance of York or are a regular visitor you might like to consider a York Museums Trust Card which is £20 by direct debit. This gets you 12 months entry to the Yorkshire Museum, York Art Gallery (which is no longer free to enter) and the Castle Museum. We did this a couple of years ago and have made really good use of it. It's a bargain when you consider that entry to all three sites would cost over £20. Hope this helps.
