Stock market today: BSE Sensex crashes over 1000 points & Nifty50 at 23,100; rupee dips to life-time low of 86
BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark indices, crashed in trade on Monday morning. While BSE Sensex went below 76,600, Nifty50 was near 23,200.

Adani Enterprises, Trent, and BPCL among others fell up to 6 per cent on NSE. Nifty Realty, Metal, Consumer Durables bled among sectors falling up to 6 per cent. The BSE MidCap index plunged 4.18 per cent, while the BSE SmallCap index dropped 4.03 per cent.

The S&P BSE Sensex tanked 1048.90 points to end at 76,330.01, while the NSE Nifty50 tumbled 345.55 points to close the day at 23,085.95.
