The first round of the College Football Playoff was a dud. It doesn't matter if you think they put the wrong teams in or if you blame the format of the tournament and the way it's seeded, there's no arguing the first four games all stunk.

The Peach Bowl is unfamiliar territory for both teams. Only Arizona State has ever played in the Atlanta-based bowl; that was back in 1970 when Frank Kush’s Sun Devils out of the WAC completed an unbeaten season 11-0 with a 48-26 victory against North Carolina at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium.

The Ducks, coached by Dan Lanning, narrowly won their regular season encounter 32-31 at home. During his show, "The Paul Finebaum Show," Paul Finebaum was asked if he believed Ohio State had any chance of avenging that loss.
