Germany has warned its state-operated gas import terminals to reject any Russian cargoes of liquefied natural gas, after it was notified of a planned shipment.

Germany has refused to allow a Russian liquefied natural gas shipment at the Brunsbuttel terminal in northern Germany in line with Berlin's policy not to import LNG from Russia, industry sources said on Thursday.

Germany's Economy Ministry instructed its state-operated import terminal "to reject LNG deliveries from Russia until further notice."
