Satellite imagery showcases the Mountain fire’s fury as homes are reduced to rubble and a vast plume of smoke stretches into the atmosphere.

Satellite imagery from Maxar Technologies captured the destruction left behind by the Mountain Fire northwest of Los Angeles. Emergency management estimated that more than 10,000 homes and businesses were under evacuation alerts around Ventura County.

The fire has burned over 20,000 acres of Ventura County and forced more than 10,000 people to evacuate from their homes.
