Fourteen people arrested earlier this year during protests at Tulane University over the Israel-Hamas war have been acquitted on misdemeanor criminal charges in New Orleans.

A New Orleans judge on Friday is expected to hear the case against more than a dozen pro-Palestinian demonstrators accused of remaining in a place after being forbidden, a misdemeanor charge that came after a May skirmish on Tulane University’s campus.

Sept. 20, the 14 alleged protestors from the pro-Palestinian encampment on Tulane University’s campus in April were acquitted on all charges.  At least two of the acquitted are suspended Tulane students,
