Authorities in Fond du Lac County say no injuries were reported following a fire Wednesday night that appears to have been caused by a wood pellet stove. According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office,

When the Oakfield Fire Department and Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office deputies responded, the fire had spread to the attic. A resident of the area was also at the scene with a fire extinguisher attempting to keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the house.

OAKFIELD, Wis. (WBAY) - Oakfield firefighters think a wood pellet stove is to blame for a fire at a home on Oak Center Rd. Wednesday night. A 911 call came at quarter after 7 saying there was a fire on the outside wall of a house.

Around 7:16 p.m. Wednesday, crews were called to a residence with flames visible at N3319 Oak Center Road in the town of Oakfield.
