Tulsa Zoo is preparing to break ground on the planned Clayton and Gina Hughes Family Giant Anteater Habitat in the new year.

The Smithsonian National Zoo’s new panda’s didn’t have to wait long for their first D.C. snowfall, and they made the most out of it Monday.

Born to Lyra and Bubbles, the pup came as "a surprise", the zoo's curator ... risk species. Giant anteaters are listed as "vulnerable" and numbers are declining, mainly due to habitat destruction.
