Iran's supreme leader vowed retaliation on Saturday for attacks by Israel, as an Israeli military official confirmed naval commandos seized a suspected Hezbollah operative in a Lebanon raid.

Iran’s supreme leader said Israel’s attack should not be “magnified or downplayed,” state media reported. U.S. and Israeli officials were expected to meet in Qatar for talks aimed at reviving cease-fire negotiations.

Iranian officials threatened that the country could use more powerful warheads in a retaliation against Israel, in an attack that may come as early as the day after the U.S. election.
