Here's why flags across Arizona were ordered at half-staff by Gov. Katie Hobbs in coordination with President Joe Biden.

Flags across the Commonwealth will be half-staffed from sunrise at 7:13 a.m. to sunset at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday in honor of Massachusetts State Police Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia. Delgado-Garcia passed away on September 13th after injuries received during a boxing training exercise at the state police academy.

According to the Governor’s Office, the flag order is in memory and respect of Private First Class Morris Everett Canady who died on Sept. 24, 1942 in Guadalcanal while serving in the U.S.
