RENTON, Wash. — A five-year-old boy was attacked by a coyote in a Renton neighborhood and sustained injuries. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) said officers responded to a report of a human-coyote encounter in which the coyote bit the child in the upper body, pulled him to the ground, and attempted to drag him away.

The coyote tried to drag the boy toward a greenbelt area before the child's mother rushed at it, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
