Hernando County Emergency Management provided an update on storm preparations. A mandatory evacuation order was issued for areas west of US-19 beginning on Wednesday morning.
Some Hernando County parks closed due to damage
Because of the storm and the damages that the Hernando County Parks sustained, county staff and emergency personnel are using this temporary closure time to assess damage, conduct physical inspections and determine necessary repairs. The following parks are temporarily closed until further notice:
