Almost all of my time In EaW has been played on Republic at War. It's a great mod, I know a lot of people said there are balancing issues, but I love how (at least on ground combat) the Republic has access to all their special battalion units and the CIS has cheap, endless numbers of units. Really captures the massive battle feel of the era.

So far, I’ve found multiple quick attacks to take out support ships, then bringing large force to take out lucrehulk seems to work. Out maneuvering it seems to work, but I still take some heavy losses if they have a dreadnought space station.
