HISTORY OF THE PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF CHRIST. John Stroup, an elder of the Methodist Protestant Church of South Solon, Ohio, received the baptism of the Holy Ghost the year following the 1906 Azusa Street Revival. In 1913 he was invited into the Ohio Valley to preach this experience.
