Buying Advice - NH 492 vs NH 1465 mowers - TractorByNet
Mar 14, 2015 · Hello TBN. I'm looking into getting a new to me mower to replace my aging NH 477, keeping it as a backup. A dealer near me has a 492 and a 1465 for sale at similar pricing, $4750 for the 492, $5500 for the 1465. The pictures of both machines make them out to both be in pretty good shape.

Jul 6, 2007 · The 488 and 1465 are both current model NH haybines, the 492 is an old model 1465. The 488 uses a float that is only horizontal where the 1465 uses a lateral float system that allows the head to raise either side depending onthe ground conditions.

Feb 21, 2011 · Ok guys you all have been a great help in me getting all my equipment. I got another smoking deal on a Nh 1469 haybine. Rollers look brand new and cutter bar looks perfect new knives just little rusted over from sitting in barn for 2 yrs. This has the Wisconsin Motor. We had not luck getting it to start but didn't have any tools or starter fluid.

I don't think it gets to be directly behind tractor but I ask because if purchasing one I want to know if it can be attached to tractor on a gooseneck trailer for transport.
