There are 8 ribbon cables that need to be removed as shown in the picture. 2 of connectors (in green) are friction fit, unlike the rest of the connectors. Remove the cable by pulling it out gently.

Carefully coil the ribbon cable and prepare to slide it through the cylinder hinge. Step 7— Remove Plastic Plate. Remove the two screws holding the plastic cover plate down to reveal the red wifi wire which will come out along with the top screen and case. Step 8— Disconnect Wi-fi Antenna.

Jun 19, 2022 · I got this 2ds xl that was for parts. It kept freezing and shutting off randomly. I solved the problem. The ribbon cable pictured has a clip that won’t fasten. When I push it down the 2ds powers on. When I let go it freezes. Any suggestions?

May 8, 2021 · Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. I've labeled them as best as I can starting from the ribbon cable locks starting numerically from the top left of the mobo to the bottom. 2 is for the front facing cameras. 3 is for the bottom screen digitizer.

May 18, 2021 · I believe the top screen ribbon cable is attached to the screen in a manner that is not modular (ie you cannot just replace the ribbon cable). Most systems sold “for parts” are likely to have the exact same issue — a top screen that needs complete replacement.
