Jul 20, 2018 · Thankfully no costs as the car was quickly towed to the BMW dealer, repaired, and towing/repair were all covered under warranty. Apparently the motor mount instantaneously collapsed. Mileage: around 43K miles. Possible attributes to failure: I drive the BMW i3 aggressively and over extremely bad roads, car sometimes even gets airborne.

Generally you need to consider replacing your tires at around 3/32 inch of tread remaining. Legally, in USA, you must replace your tires at 2/32 inch. BMW i3 tires generally come with 9-10/32 of inch tread when they're new. Describe your driving style.

Sep 25, 2020 · There doesn't seem to be a common thread among owners that have had this problem. My most recent viewer told me he had 4k miles on a 2015 and the AC just stopped working. $18k repair because the compressor scroll broke up sending metal all throughout the lines. He was in Puerto Rico, however, where it's warmer.

The hum would increase and decrease in parallel with the speed of the vehicle. I played with the controls and noticed it stops humming if I turn the climate system off.

Sep 4, 2019 · Best thing to do is log a complaint with NHTSA so this can be tracked and forwarded to BMW. It seems that the software is malfunctioning and affecting the electric steering controls. These controls allow for automated driving and lane keeping features that can be tapped into with things like Kwizdell's (sp) module.
