The country's only full contact battle reenactment through the streets of the town at various points on the High Street, from The Gallops to Lewes Castle, and Lewes Priory where we witness the final surrender of Henry III to Simon de Montfort.

Once a year, on the anniversary of the Battle of Lewes, Crown Events hosts a re-enactment of the battle throughout the town. In 2024, it will be on the 11th an 12th May and 150 re-enactors are expected!

A re-enactment of the Battle of Lewes (1264) is to be held in the town with 150 re-enactors expected. The event starts late morning each day with the re-enactors processing down the High Street to the Convent Field where events will be held during the afternoon. Full catering will be available.
