I picked up several smaller diameter ones ( about 16ft long ) and a large one (easily over a foot in diameter and about 10-12 ft), so instead of stealing, just ask.

They have lots of pipes that are too old, short and beat up to ever be used again, so they just threw them in a pile in the back of their warehouse.

Mar 27, 2008 · no, there like a little over $1 depending on the diameter. I think a 10' 1.25" diameter pvc pipe was like 1.49 at home depot for me. PVC is the cheapest and most bang for your buck material for boxes and rails. If a pipe breaks on your rail(it took about a year or two for mine to break), then you just unscrew it, and put a new pipe on. no big deal.

Jun 1, 2014 · Mr.HuckBig PVC pipe is expensive. I kept searched on craiglist for awhile and one day a listing showed up for a guy getting rid of a bunch of miscellaneous crap. One was this: I just searched by "pvc pipe". I think I paid $50 for it but that's about a fourth of what it would cost if you went to an industrial plumbing supply place.

Dec 27, 2016 · other option is to drill a hole larger than the head of the screw on the side of the pvc at an angle and then drive the screw through the bottom of the pvc into the wood (if using a 4X4) do this on both sides spaced 16" apart. Using a lag screw would hold the best.

Sep 20, 2010 · The trick I figured out for getting the screws in the right place is to figure out the distance from the top of one pipe to the next. So if you are using 1 Inch OD- Outer Diameter PVC, the distance should be 1 inch right? So, get a 1/2 inch thick piece of plywood, draw straight lines 1 inch apart and predrill holes on that line.
