Just Homebrewed a New 2DS XL, what should I put on it?
Oct 18, 2024 · Get yourself an Ambassador Certificate so you can say you passed it from a 3DS to a 2DS to the New 2DS. But seriously, I've heard that streaming with NTR CFW works better on New 2DS XL than it does on New 3DS, since its identical CPU includes a dedicated core for 3D mode that goes otherwise unused on New 2DS. Can't confirm though.

Initially, I was deciding between getting either an RG350, a PSP, or the thing I ended up ultimately choosing, the 2DS XL, which I got for $99 brand new pre-installed with Mario Kart 7 at Walmart (such a good deal).

Is it easy to mod with custom firmware? Yes, i modded mine a month ago. Before you needed a specific game or cartridge draw a pentagram with chicken blood and some candles, but now you just need a sd card of your preference (I’m using one of 128gb) and like 2 or 3 files. The roms are easy to find for ds and 3ds games.

Mar 2, 2022 · 64 sd is the best option. 128 gb is the optimal size. Any size larger than that (200, 256 for example) will slow your system down. I have a 256GB Sandisk in my N3DSXL, I maxed out the 3DS game limit of 300 games with about 80GB of roms for RetroArch with about 5GB of free space left. Here is my 2 cents worth.
