Get the engine model number and serial number and call Lockwood aviation at 1-800-LA ROTAX and they should be able to tell you what year model the engine is and if it is a " blue head" or not. They may even be able to tell you who bought the engine new and if it has been overhauled or not.

Jan 14, 2010 · With my system, there is never a loss of pressure when the coolant burps into the reservoir tank, like on other systems. It is always steady. You just leave the Pressure-Filler-Reservoir-Tank half empty for air expansion, and this way you can always see your coolant level. I have never had a single problem with in in 20 years.
