Shapeways Cars Review | Championship Formula Racing
Oct 7, 2020 (edited) I ordered examples of 3 car sets from Shapeways in Sept 2020. Here's what I think of them: Championship Formula Racing 1983 by 'ICOG'. Recommended. 2 each of 5 different historically accurate cars. At 26x13mm, almost identical to the original CFR car size. I would ideally want something like 23mm, but this works.

Jan 28, 2015 · Shapeways' highest resolution prints are done in Frosted (Ultra) Detail. The printer they use for Frosted (Ultra) Detail is a Projet HD 3000. The Projet HD 3000 can print at two resolution settings, HD and UHD. HD prints at a resolution of 328 x 328 x 606 DPI (xyz), which works out to a layer height of about 42 microns.

If you have more time than money, then find a local fab lab, or a friend who has a printer, some way that you can do your own printing.

Nov 27, 2018 · The parts that Lawrence makes are already more highly detailed, stronger and very competitively priced when compared to Shapeways parts. It is only a matter of time before new technologies in the area of 3D printing allow new entrepreneurs to set up direct competitors to Shapeways. Shapeways will need to adapt and meet customer needs or die.
1/32 & 1/35 Bell 412 conversions - ARC Discussion Forums
Posted February 27, 2018. Hi chaps. Thought you all might like to know about this chap on Shapeways called 3D Boats has done a 1/35th 412 conversion for the horrible Panda (etc) 212 kits. A chap on Britmodeller built one and really liked it, however some mods needed doing and he has now made the changes and relisted it again.
