The Player II has gotten better reviews, but you can run into a dud even with the higher end American Standard series. For my money the used market is where value and quality intersect.

When I first got it, it was sticky. It might be different by person depending on the acidity, cleanliness, and moisture of their hands.

Jun 6, 2011 · Flushing can strip the lubrication out, and lock the control SOLID. That's why we use deoxit 100. Fader grease, for sliding faders: Food grade silicon grease, sold in scuba stores. Clean the elctrical contact with pro gold, lube the non electrical contact surfaces with scuba grease (very small amount).
