Jun 8, 2022 · Magic keyboard for IPad randomly loses typing ability. I have had this issue off and on for a long time now. This is for 2020 iPad Pro 11 inch and magic keyboard. I have already tried all the standard trouble shooting restarts etc. I really believe this is a software issue.

Aug 10, 2023 · Remove the iPad from the Keyboard - and carefully/gently clean the smart connector contacts on both the iPad and keyboard with a soft pencil eraser (a drafting-film eraser is ideal). Ensure that the contacts on both iPad and keyboard are dirt and dust free - and all debris from the eraser have been removed - before reconnecting the two.

Attached the iPad and the keyboard keys are not working. If I plug in the USB-C to the Keyboard it shows charging, so that functions. But, none of the keys or trackpad show on the iPad screen.

Jul 16, 2016 · Only recently have I been having the following issues with my iPad Pro and Logitech keyboard when the iPad is on battery power, i.e., not charging: The Home key (rectangle with rounded corners) will work initially, but eventually it will be ignored. I can press it once to wake up the device, but subsequent key presses will be ignored.

Feb 25, 2018 · iPad Pro 10.5 Smart Keyboard I was having problems with my smart keyboard -- I tried several things including cleaning the contact on both the keyboard and the iPad. What finally worked was when I noticed a very slight bend in the keyboard. Straightening the keyboard allowed the contact to meet and everything returned to normal.

Nov 22, 2018 · About the keyboards settings on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch-- If you're using a third-party, switch back to the keyboard for your country by tapping Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Test the issue if you changed keyboards. If the issue doesn't happen with the native keyboard, remove the third-party keyboard and restart your phone.

Dec 7, 2018 · My new 11” ipad pro does this: when I use it in portrait mode, with the USB-C port at the bottom, using the on-screen keyboard, certain letters are skipped when typing. Especially those closer to the middle of the screen (y, g etc.). It’s horrible really. Gets worse if my hands are hugging the left and righ sides of the ipad.
