The Temple of Athena, located in the Assos Acropolis, is dedicated to the Goddess Athena, known as the protector of the city. The building, whose construction date is 6th century B.C, is the only example of an Archaic-Doric Temple in Anatolian geography.

Assos archaeological site is open daily, in summer season (April - October) from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and in winter season (November - March) - from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The admission fee is 10 TL.
