I carved the hat from 2-8" rounds that were stacked and the glove from 2-10" rounds that were stacked. They were both red velvet cake with BC under the fondant. Everything was made from fondant except for the bill on the hat, which was made 2 days in advance out of gumpaste. I freehanded the logos on the glove and piped those with royal icing.

The jersey is especially tiny because we always joke about how little he is. The is my first ballcap cake. I used the directions from the Confetti Cakes book which made this really easy to do. The ball cap and the jersey are cake. The baseball is a styrofoam ball covered in fondant. I was super pleased with the outcome.
