NYUSH will be academically harder than US schools due to the competitive nature and that 50% of the class are very strong Chinese students and some motivated international students. It is very competitive in economics, finance, computer science, math, data science.

Sep 24, 2023 · NYU Shanghai is a top-notch university. I’ve been to all 3 NYU main campuses and I can confidently say that I wouldn’t choose a different university. Some classes are definitely more challenging than New York, or Abu Dhabi courses, but at the same time they put you ahead when it comes to how much you actually end up learning.

I know parents can be oddly controlling about the things their children do, but if NYU Shanghai has a solid program in your preferred area of study, that should ultimately be the deciding factor.

Sep 27, 2022 · For one, an NYU Shanghai education affords you the benefit of getting both a local Chinese degree and an “American” NYU degree which instantly exponentially increases your chances of gaining employment abroad. If you care about your degree being recognized/cared about by employers anywhere outside of China, then it’s a school to consider.

Upon graduation, students will have earned two diplomas: An NYU degree (the same degree granted at NYC and Abu Dhabi campuses) and a Chinese-accredited NYU Shanghai degree. The Shanghai government seems to believe in it given its investment in the new campus.
