How soon is to soon to tow with a brand new truck?
Jan 19, 2019 · Getting a brand new (truck was ordered) 2019 F250 6.7 in a few weeks after selling my 2012 6.7 as a private party sale. Won't be towing anything massive, a 8,000 lb. empty toy hauler, likely @ about 10,00 to 10,500 with a Harley touring bike and the golf cart loaded.

May 18, 2017 · The set-up procedures for towing a trailer with a WD hitch are on page 34 of the 2017 RV & Trailer Towing Guide. Basically, you want the distance from the ground to the front fender well to be the same, or not more than 1/2" higher with the trailer than without the trailer.

Sep 21, 2023 · In the old days, we would go easy for 500-1,000 miles and then immediately change oil and filter. The manual does not say anything about changing oil after the break-in. The truck has 219 miles on it, and I'm supposed to tow a 11,400# 5th wheel trailer next Monday!

Jan 21, 2021 · What you read is for towing a trailer, i.e. in the first 500 miles of towing a trailer, don't exceed 70. Basically, they want you to not drive like a maniac with a trailer until you've rechecked all connections, etc. Your vehicle requires a break-in period.
