Nov 1, 2022 · Optimus Prime as a car? Question. I distinctly remember seeing an old Transformers toy of Optimus as a car instead of the usual truck. However, every time I've looked up "Optimus Prime as a Car" or something to that effect, all that ever comes up are pictures of his truck alt mode. Does anyone out there know where I can find regular car Optimus?

Oct 21, 2020 · Car was built like a tank, powerful v8 engine, at the heart an actual carburetor and real American steel. Bright shiny, with white panel lines and shiny chrome bumpers and trim. Edit: ‘75-76. Big, blocky, solid cars with solid components. When cars looked rugged & strong and not too pretty. Exactly like how I envision Optimus to be!

This was my "outlaw" vehicle, my son's is the APC in the top pic. One of the 10 year old boys also made a Hot Rod, seen in the bottom pic. Sadly, OP was not very fast.

The death of Optimus Prime was so traumatic that Sunbow/Marvel did a quick edit of G.I.Joe: The Movie (which was in post-production at the time) so the character Duke was not killed off. If you watch the Joe movie it's ridiculously obvious where they made the change (especially the clumsy "Duke lives!" line dubbed at the end).

Nov 15, 2021 · As some one else said, Optimus went from a old rusty truck to a modern day truck in AOE. However, the truck Optimus scan wasn't blue with red flames ,but was a grey truck. So one could assume that Optimus just wanted to keep being blue and red.
