May 22, 2023 · The best way to set "speed" is to adjust the volumetric rate in the filament profile. Outside of specific cases, trying to juggle print speeds instead of volumes is a pain. Cap the volumetric and let the slicer work out the speeds. The best way to do it is to set outer wall speed to 30mm/sec leaving the rest at default.

Feb 11, 2024 · For Cooling, you can push Min print speed, or drop Max fan speed threshold > Layer time and then crank Fan speed to compensate. For Printer > Motion ability settings, you can push Maximum jerk X/Y/Z/E. For Printer > Extruder, disable Z hop (apparently it does almost nothing...), and otherwise push buttons until your prints start failing.

There is no need to enable z-hop. Retraction 0.5mm though 0.3 for pla is fine; speed at 40mm/s. Movement speeds on my machine are 300mm/s and accel 6000mm/s2.

Aug 20, 2017 · I print at 203, and 60mm/s. My travel speed is 250mm/s. I just recently went with 13mm on my retraction settings and that seems to negate most of the stringing. Even the strings i do get are extremely fine. So a quick lighter to burn them off is much simpler to me than making some minor adjustment and potentially adding a new issue in.
