Want to block out view from neighbors! - Dave's Garden
Dec 2, 2007 · They are not very nice and have a messy lawn to say the least. I would like to find some nice tall trees to block the view along the fence line (about 60ft long). I definitely do not want something with invasive roots. The taller, the better! I was considering 6ft vinyl privacy fence at first, but I'd really rather have something taller and green.

Jan 31, 2009 · The water that originates in the neighbors yard is in large quantities meaning it spans about 20 feet into their yard and about 6 inches deep in places and as a result of precipitation, floods to the foundation of my house and into my front yard. If I dig 1/2-1 foot down into the ground anywhere in my yard, I reach standing water.

The sand seeps under the fence each time it rains, ruining the soil my perennials are planted in and killing the grass. A lot of sand also blows into my yard when it's windy. The gap under the fence starts at about 1/2" in front of yard and increases to about 4" at back.

I cut some of the longest stems back, and they will bloom later I'm sure, and the medium long ones I just let sprawl on the ground and buried partially (like layering a shrub), and they are blooming fine.
