For instance, there is no such thing as a rune for Family, Loyalty, Love, Strength, Courage etc. They are letters used for writing, like ABC. We don't associate Latin letters with specific meaning, like "A represents wealth or B represents luck".

Altought younger futhark, the runes that were used by vikings, had the issue of having viewer symbols then sounds so one rune can represent more then one phonetic value.
