Feb 10, 2019. #1. I really have a soft spot for this generation. I was a lapsed gamer near the tail end of the sixth generation. While I savored the best of that generation--Resident Evil 4, MGS2/3, FFX, Shadow of the Colossus, F-Zero GX, Melee, Soul Calibur, DMC3, Ninja Gaiden Black, Super Monkey Ball, and so on. I didn't play much.

Dec 7, 2023 · my answer would be both 6th and 7th generation. - 6th generation has a distinct aesthetic based on limited polygon counts, experimental game design, and early control schemes. - 7th generation is the last generation where games were monotransactional—you buy a copy of a game and that was the end of the financial interaction.

Jan 14, 2024 · Wii looks way better with modern scalers and de-blur options than it ever did on the crapy TVs of the day. 360 and PS3 both benifit from better scaling in modern TVs compared to the weird 768p and 1080p TVs of the day. Response time, black levels, and motion blur is much better, especially with OLED TVs.

Jan 14, 2024 · It is my most hated generation and I can't really point my finger as to why. I think I just didn't like any of the consoles in terms of hardware apart from maybe the DS. The PS3 felt like a worse 360, the 360 broke down as soon as the guarantee was over, the PSP despite having great graphics wasn't confortable to use for me.
