Oct 5, 2023 · Here's how I fixed it... 1) Opened System Settings/Displays on my Cinema display (the affected screen) 2) Turned OFF "Automatically adjust brightness". 3) Turned OFF "True Tone". 4) Turned "True Tone" back ON. Fixed. colors on my macbook pro are washed out. .

I consider that it has gone through "normal" wear and tear and I am not seeing any issues with the color fading or rubbing off. No notebook will retain its "new" look if it experiences more than usual use.

I opened the launchpad and there was a flicker on the screen, then the colours have been distorted with screen flickering. I have tried a restart and nothing has changed.
